Le Jardin d’enfants du P’tit Eden is located on the ground floor of a building in the heart of the Parc de la Micheline in Chêne-Bourg. P’tit Eden is next door to the Peillonnex crèche.
The P’tit Eden team works closely with the Peillonnex crèche to benefit from the professionalism of the cook, who prepares our snacks in a balanced and diversified way that respects shared values such as ‘organic food’ and local suppliers. We can also count on the invaluable help of the crèche’s linen maid.
From the very first contact with the families welcomed to P’tit Eden, the educational team is keen to create a climate of trust with the parents with a view to an educational partnership based on caring communication. The team also aims to be an educational and social resource for families in need.
The Kindergarten’s institutional project is the fruit of teamwork that has highlighted 4 core values: responsibility, empathy and caring, safety, autonomy and creativity. For the sake of consistency, these values are then applied to each educational situation in the pedagogical project, as well as to each stakeholder in the institution: children, parents and staff.
What’s more, P’tit Eden’s institutional project is largely inspired by the work of Céline Alvarez, with the aim of promoting learning, the development of social skills and equal opportunities for all! Screening and early intervention are an integral part of P’tit Eden’s institutional mission.
At P’tit Eden, children play an active role in their own development, in a clear and secure environment that encourages exploration and experimentation to help them build their independence and self-esteem.
The P’tit Eden educational team also works closely with other important places in the commune of Chêne-Bourg, such as the Diablotins toy library, the SPOT (neighbourhood centre), the various parks and the Chêne-Bourg school establishment, to enable children to enjoy educational experiences in other appropriate spaces and to get to know the commune in which they live better.

Studies on neuroscience teach us that an empathetic attitude encourages better neuronal development.
i want to…
Open access to play means children deciding what they want to do and giving free rein to their imagination and to spontaneous movements.
the joy of playing
“Play is the work, vocation and life of the child”. It is not only fun, but it is essential too.
